Will child support payments be deducted from my PWD cheque? I'm on PWD and just got an order from the BC Supreme Courts for my X to pay child support. Will the payments be deducted from my PWD cheque? |

Receipt of child support generally is not considered income, at least for tax purposes.
Therefore, it should not deduct from your disability cheque.
In effect, the child support money is your child's income. You are receiving it only because you are the adult who's responsible for spending the money on things that directly benefit your child.
You receive the support money on behalf of your child. It's not your income, but rather your child's income.
Therefore, it should not offset your PWD cheque or any other income you have, because it's not income to you personally. You are receiving it only for use of your child.
