Why doesn't domestic relations go after deadbeat fathers We have contacted our local domestic realations office in Scranton, pa regarding child support payments in arrrears by a deadbeat dad, who lives and works in the next county from us, why they have warrant out on him, and they don't go after him, and sure they must have his social security number to check it he is working and not paying child support...It's not fair! |

No its not fair,I had a dead beat ex and i gave them his work address and everything and they never went after him.Years later he went on ssi and the kids got over 8,000 in back support. F or your case I would call child support services an try to get his licesne taken for back support.keep after them to go after him.I know is frustrating when all the support falls on you.

Your right it is not fair. If there is a warrant out on him for not paying child support they will usally only pick him up if he gets stopped for something and then when they run a check on him the warrant will show up and they will take him in at that time. Also you can help them by calling the police station and reporting where he is if you know where he is and they will pick him up. If there is no warrant then you need to file a motion against him in court for contempt of court for not paying his child support,they can take away his drivers licence,or let him sit in jail awhile,garnish his wages and take his incom tax refunds if he recieves any. It is not fair that you have to do s.the work for them but usally it takes a parent to file against the father in order to get any addition help,but it work
