What happens if you do not disclose your full wages in a court room?

I work odd jobs from craigslist and 4 I have routinely. However I did not disclose the UNDER THE TABLE amounts. The judge listed me as making a potential 30k per year. I don't make that .....I make 17k. So, the judge based child support on a higher income than I actually make

The ex drilled our daughter and she told him about my side jobs....I am now in contempt and being taken back to court. The judge told us both he never wants to see us again. The ex keeps taking me back to court for contempt, but the judge dismisses it each time. Now, the ex was due to pay child support for Aug and has NOT. My contempt hearing is on the 9 of sept.

How much trouble will I be in from the judge for NOT conveying my entire income. Although, the judge based me making 30k...........As it stands the ex is in contempt for not paying child support....Help!

The worst is you can do jail time for contempt.

Get a lawyer. Chances are you can get the ex to stop taking you to court. A friend of mine had this same problem, and once she got a lawyer she was able to file against her ex for excessive court filings. As far as your income is concerned, you can get contempt of court, failure to obey a court order, which include fines and/or jail.

Well it is always best to be honest! The court may not of even considred your parttime incom unless it was on a regular basic's. The thing here is if the court has based your incom on more ha what you are actually aking then whenyou go to court it a be a good time to tell the judge what you make and have a wage earning statement, showing your incom. The court will not reverse you any money even if the court ordered child support on the wrong amount of money that you made. So what will probary happen is that since your paying more child support than you probary should be paying the judge will probary not do anything, although going to court will at least get this all out in the open, you can also file a motion asking the court to lower your payments based on what you do make, as far as going to jail the court is not out to just throw you in jail, just be hinest tell the judge your partime incom was just that parttime. It does sound like the court is tired of you nd your ex going to court all the time. They feel as if your wasting their time, and there are others that need the court for more important issues. Talk to your ex and try to get this straightened out with her.
