Should a divorced couple remarry in the state of VA, does child support stop or does the non custodial parent have to contact Child Support Enforcement and notify them of the remarriage? If they didn't do that, do they still owe arrears?

The remarriage has to be brought to the attention of the agency and the court. They would not know about it otherwise.

If it wasn't done timely, then a request can be made of the court that any back due amounts that accrued after the remarriage should be reconsidered by the court, due to the changed circumstance of remarriage.
