Both parents are responiable for their child even if you have physical custody. Legally you are supose to have the child in your home,if you have physical custody. However you can do several things. If your son does not go to school, you can tell him he has to or he can go live with his dad. You can give your ex custody, depending on how bad the situration is,if your son does not have any respect and your ex husband will not support you in getting the boy to go to school, then maybe he should keep him. nothing will change if you wait for your son to change,so it is up to you.
