RETRO child support/ Arizona Went to my court date and support was modified for one child and also retro support . no payments order for retro was put in place just a lump sum.

It may not be past due because it was just ordered to be paid, but once it does age you will begin to be charged interest if you can't pay it all now. Some state rates are as high as 10%, so you may want to pay it off as quickly as you can.
Even with a payment agreement in place, that won't stop them in the future from offsetting tax refunds or other windfalls you may encounter in the future. They really do want that money paid as quickly as you are able.

I went to court the seventh of feb this year and my ex is now paying child support on our three year old son. he owed so much in retro child support that when he had his taxes done they took it all in retro child support. how long will it take to get the check?
Are they suppost to give a court order for any back payments. they are taking more for retro than they where for regular child support. can they do that. i have another 4 kids and the retro pay is killing me. can i do anything about it or call someone to me in this situation.
