Hi Ewe 597, in the state of Ohio the Formula used in calculaing child support is the court, the court will use a set worksheet called "Ohio" Child Support Guidelines" in order to calculate the amount of support the non-custodial parent will be required to pay. you can review a copy of these guidelines online at jobsandfamilyserviceOhio.com Both parents will be ask to provide verification of their incomes for the past six months,or their recent income tax returns in order to determine child support. If the court deems that it is also reasonable and necessary for the non-custodial parent to to provide health insurance for the child,it will issue a medical court order that stipulates this provision. Health insurance coverage is considered available and reasonable if it can be obtained by a parent though the parent's employer or other group health insurance plan. You will need to contact your local CSEA office and they can navigate the prcess to file an order for child support.

Please use only the state's website. Those other commercial sites are inaccurate and /or out of date; you waste your time.

Alllaw is NOT superior to the state OWN website for calculating child support. Why in the world would someone use a unauthored website for legal affairs, when the state provides you with the accurate information?
