My Ex- Husband who owes more than $80,000 back child support, filed his taxes jointly with his new wife. He recieved a letter stating the IRS took it. Bottom line, I know they kept his return due to back child support. I have tried to get it the last 4 years and have never seen a dime. This year the IRS actually took it. I know they are smart enought to file the 8379 and in turn the IRS will take back her portion. Does he have a portion? With only collecting SS disability and VA disability, he technically owes no taxes and would not have a refund. How can I get any back child support? Child support enforcement is a JOKE. I live in AZ if it makes any difference? Thanks for any HELP! |
