In Pennsylvania is it concidered child abandoment if you have nothing to do withyour child for 3 years but have paid child support ? My sons father has not seen him since 2 days before his 1st christmas. He lives less than 3 blocks from me. He never came to to hospital when my kid was hospitalized at 3 weeks and again 8 months old. He's never had any contact with him. He wasn't there when my son had surgery or was dedicated to the church. My ex has my contact information he knows where i live as well. He refused to sign any kind of papers when the babay was born till there was a paternaty test done. he wouldn't even sign the birth certificate. he called the baby ugly and left. He's never been to any birthdays nothing. he's being forced by the state to pay child support. If wasnt being forced he wouldn't pay it at all. Not that i want it from him. He never wanted this child options the baby was in my body. When i fell over at the store in pain because a cyst burst in ovary thats how I found i was pregnant I was in er at 7 he got there after midnite he passed out at home. He told me he wanted a vacetomy he didnt want no more kids. He terminated his rights to a previous child who knows nothing of his exhistance. That says a lot right there. he did that so he wouldn't have to pay child support.

The courts are not going to make the child completely fatherless by revoking his parental rights and responsibilites for simply not visiting.
The courts aren't going to revoke his responsibility to support the child and leave the child without that resource. Your child has that right. His father also has the right to decide who he spends time with, the courts can't force him to have a relationhip with his child.
If you were to marry and your spouse was willing to adopt your child, then you could ask your child's father if he would concent and give up his rights and responsibilites.

Sounds to me like you already have what you want. He isn't involved in your life. And, you get child support - even though you don't want it or care if you receive it. So, I am not sure I understand what the problem is.
It sounds like does exactly as the law provides that he must, which is provide support. You can't make him care about the child, or you or feel anything at all. You can't punish him because he doesn't. Possibly you could get his parental rights revoked but that might also mean you no longer receive support and what would be the point? He doesn't contact you and isn't harrassing you or influencing how you raise your child.
He isn't doing anything illegal so you can't have him arrested.
You options are to be grateful that you are receiving support even though you don't need it or want it, it gives you a little extra to set aside for your child or to do something extra.
You can move on with your life knowing that the father of your child is never going to be a part of it.
You can start looking forward to the possibility of a real father coming into your life and that of your childs to be a part of it.
You can pray, if that is something that gives you comfort and perhaps find a place of forgiveness.
What you can't do...is expect this mans behavoir to change simply because you wish it would. He has shown you his priorities and what he cares about, and you can't make him care about something he isn't able to. For your own peace of mind, you need to come to terms with that and just let it go. Be grateful that you are fortunate enough that you don't need his support, many women don't get any help - so that is an advantage for you. Take it anyway you like it but be grateful for your blessings and just let the rest of it fall away.
You can't change him...let him go.
