I am a otr truck driver.i had my 17yr son on with me.now he wants to live with his dad and his dad wants child support.i dont mind and have agreed to 250 a month and i buy all clothes and pay all dctr bills.he also has my 18yr that is ft student Child support wasnt an issue since i had 1 and he had 1.i think its fair what im payin but he says it may have to go up.I get paid partial on a per diem bases to cover my food and expenses.if we was to go to court would that be considered income in md?would they consider my 18 also eligible for child support from me?does child support stop at age 18? My ex doesnt have a job yet he got a buyout of 120k but its almost gone(squandered it).am i the soul payer for my son since im employed? How would this work?.pls shed some lite on this for me. |

Chils support ends when the child turns 18 unless they are going to school and you have to pay. if he wants to live with his dad it will have to go to court to be set up that way and you will have to pay until he is 18 unless he goes to school after that. i payed child support for 22 years for 2 children. that is just the way it works.
