How to transfer Child Support case to Connecticut from New York City? I pay child support for my 17 year old daughter through the NYC child support enforcement. I moved to CT 13 years ago and continued the case in NYC because that is where my daughter and her mother lived. They moved to CT 3 years ago so now we both live in CT. How can I transfer the case to CT since we both live here? Is it possible or is it too late since she is 17 years old? Will I need a lawyer to transfer the case? Can I initiate the process even if I am the non-custodial process? |

New York Child Support Enforcement will have to agree to release it and Connecticut will have to agree to take it over. You can contact New York's office at 1-888-208-4485 and Connecticut's office at 1-800-228-5437. Hopefully they can tell you exactly how the process can happen. Good luck and best wishes.
