Does a custodial parent have the option to void and nullify a California child support order?

I currently reside in Florida, and am the non-custodial parent to a young child in California. The custodial parent has had to file for child support in California, for the express purpose of meeting qualifications for public assistance. I am perfectly willing to provide for my child as much as I am able without legal pressure, but I am concerned about the level of control we (the parents) would have over a support order once it was enacted.

Could a custodial parent have the support order voided and nullified at their discretion? Or is it a binding 18 year contract of state mediation, regardless of the parent's wishes? As a side note, we plan to share custody of our child when I soon relocate.

No the custodial parent can't void and notify a original order for a support order it stands til the child is 18 years of age it means that the parents can't do anything but pay the child support thens it lies in the judges hands

You can ask for modification of the amount ordered but the state feels it should not have to support your child. most states require anyone recieveing assistance to file for support as it is not the states job. the order can be modified through the courts. you can deny jurisdiction to california if an order has not been made and you are on your first response if your only ties to california are your child. i advise you seek a lawyer
