Child support in Mississippi

How much time has to go by before a child support case has to be taken to court? My child's father is trying to hold up the review of our child support case by not turning in any of the necessary paperwork(check stubs, w-2 forms, etc) so that Child Support Enforcement can determine if I should receive an increase. How long is allowed before they will automatically send it to court and require him to bring his paperwork?

If your child's father stop working, can you use his spouse income to pay the child support?

A stepparents income cannot be deemed for child suppot. If the noncustodial parent does not respond to the child support agency with the information that they request, then the child support agency can increase the child support by your state guidelines. This could hurt the noncustodia parent because he/she may end up having a larger increase than what it should be had he/she complied by giving the child support agency the required information. You can aslo contact the child support agency at 1-877-882-4916 for additional information.
