When you file for childsupport the agency you file under will estimate your child support payment on how many kids and the income is then figured out according to theyre system then the payment amount is set from there

Different states have different requirements as to how they determine how much you will pay. Your best bet is to Google your state's name and child support enforcement agency. Find their contact number and ask them how they determine commission based child support. Good luck and best wishes.

Answer 3/4 - Submitted 7/21/2010

Child support is going to order you to pay a certain amount every month. Each state is different. It will be your responsibility to pay that amount every month regardless of the commission you make.

Answer 4/4 - Submitted 7/21/2010

Whether your income is subject to withholdings doesn't matter.

They'll base your support on your earnings history. So if you come in with one tiny "bad week" for commission, that's not going to matter, they can base it off your W-2/tax returns.
