Can a man collect child support from one woman while paying child support to another woman? My son's father pays child support to his ex for their daughter. We have never gone to court and there is no support/custody agreement, we broke up 10+ years ago. My son is 10yrs old and now he is trying to collect child support from me.

Yes he can, his child support order to another woman, has nothing to do with your child, if there has never been a custody or child support order in effect between the two of you, you are lucky, by law he could of filed for child support as long as the child resides with him. Then there is also a difference in what he has to pay for his child support and what you may have to pay him, because child support is determined by the incom of both parents, how many children, any children from a prior marriage or relationship, who pays health insurance if either and how much and in some states the court will allow the non-custodial parent to pay for some of the daycare if daycare is used. What you both can do here since there has never been a custody order, is to agree on what you both want, joint custody, and you both can also agree on an amount that you both feel is reasonable for child support, you may come out better this way, because if you both cannot agree then the court will make the decition of custody and order the amount of child support by the laws in your state. You can contact legal aide and see if you can get an attorney if you need one, they go by income and they can be found in the blue pages of your phone book under government.

If your son lives with him, then yes, he can collect child support from you. The fact that he pays child support for another kid is irrelevant; that's just mixing appels and oranges - confusing the issue. The bottom line is that he'd be entitled to a certain measure of support from you if the kid lived with him.

Whether your ex pays support for another child or not is none of your business. That matter is between him and his other child's mother.
If your child is living with your ex, then yes, you should be paying child support to your ex to help raise and care for your child. How could it be otherwise?
