Back Child support Laws I am in the State of Utah. My Ex-husband is asking me to drop the back child support in the amount of $5,600. I of course am not going to, However I want to know what the Utah law is on Stopping Child support. Thanks for any Help you can give.

Even if you allowed him to stop paying child support and let's say your current husband adopted the children, the court will make him pay that back support. It doesn't just go away because he wants it to. Even unemployed individuals are required to make child support payments. He will be required to make the payments until your child graduates high school or turns 18. Good luck and best wishes.
