Are child support enforcement companies worth the money?

My ex owes me over 50 thousand in child support. The Alaska Child support enforcement division has not been able to collect anything for me. I am tempted to hire one of those private companies to see if i can get anything while my kids are still in college and I am still alove. Any suggestions?

OK just watch what you sign and have a lawyer look over the papers before you sign . and its worth try because if you have nothing then getting some thing will be better then nothing and they will get hold of him and not let go because they make money for doing this. !

No, you may think some money is better then no money but when I used them they took a % every time they received monies and it was alot I would not suggest it but if your goung to use them hire a PI intead to follow ex to see if he is working and then you can report that to your county child support agency. These companies do not put any more effort then your local enforcement office which ist any effort at all at least in Pa. they dont do their job

These companies are run by lawyers, (they have to be to appear or file court docs).
I have no experience with these companies( in court) but they will take a Lions share forever.
I think you are just as well off by hiring a private atty to file for seizure of property , garnishment etc, becausethat is what the CS recovery companies will do. You will have more control with a private atty than with these companies; you may never even talk to a lawyer with them, only paralegals.
